Re: Fiesta mk2 1.1
Looking good - very clean shell as well.
External pump wise im using a sierra 2.9 xr4x4 one which is the same as the sierra cosworths and it works fine. I made (well dad did) a steel bracket for it t sit on and its bolted up neatly to the floor out of the way so nothng can hit it. I will try and get a pictureof it for you.
Nothing wrong with owning a few fiestas either - and trust me you will love the mk2 with a 2.0l in it. It may sound silly but they are incredibly rapid i would say its easily as fast as what my FRST was when it was running 200bhp, they just weigh so little - If you have the hand book with it and look at the weights for the 1.1l iirc its about 760kg.
Gareth.

You'll love it
You using the fiesta SI loom? From what ive seen of other people conversions and my own (using fiesta si loom) the FSI route is by far the easiest. Just make sure you run the VSS on the gear box
Gareth.

my managers mk2 mondeo with a 2.0 lump is a very quick car so i cant wait to get the 2.0 in the mk2.
we plan to kit it out with Xr2 suspension all round with 30-40 mm drop springs and try to fit 15 inch steel wheels with 195/50/tyres to help with the power.
Exhaust wise we will need to apapt a stainless xr2 exhuast onto the cat convertor which i got with the engine

You're a lucky man, one day i'll find one for myself in that condition! Are you gonna run a thread in the gallery or anything? Because i wouldn't mind keeping a watch on this one!
If it wasn't so clean, i'd have burnt it by now!

Re: Fiesta mk2 1.1
Defo no cats required. The emissions is read for the vechile and not the engine, which to me is strange but thats the way it is.
Mines been through the mot and the emissions with the 2.0l zetec was the same as the figure given for the 1.1 engine. Im using a scorpion system with no cat.
Gareth.

I think it's actually whatever is oldest... Some people can run RS Turbo lumps in cars that originally required a cat without needing one for the MOT

No cat and no egr are required It will run just fine - one thing which is very important to use is the lamda sensor in the exhaust though ive got a 4 branch manifold on mine and the lamda screws into that, im not sure where it goes on the standard mondeo system though?
