Ford Fiesta Mk3.5 Project OEM+: End of an era...

Postby EUFez on Tue Jun 23, 2009 6:49 pm

Hi all...
As some of you know I had my previous Mk3.5 which i blew up on the way back from FITP this year. Piston blew straight through the engine and it ended up like this:

I've tryed my best to save it but I just keep having badluck with it... Plus the shell is rotting, so i bought myself another Mk3.5, exactly the same as my old one, but it's a minter. Let me introduce... Fanny, my new REDshed;

Spec:
- 1.1 Engine
- 20k Milege, prove from past MOT certificate's.
- Bodywork look's great, only bits of rust is on the front valance and small bit on one arch.

One problem though...
"I have been told the thrust washer in the clutch is a bit dodgy (Makes a noise when pulling off in first gear) Clutch works perfectly."

But that can soon be sorted. :)

Fanny cost me £500 with tax and MOT. Picking her up this saturday, can't wait to drive again!

Plans for her;
- Coilovers
- Lenso BSX Wheels (Silver) 15x8
- Black vinyl roof
- FRSTurbo bonnet with smooth swage line. Might badboy it but still unsure.
- Rs Accessory front bumper, complete with fogs. Number place recess smoothed.
- Fiesta Mk4 rear bumper, smoothed swage line and tow eye cover.
- Colour coded plastic bits.
- FRST Interior (Possibly)
- Either Escort GTI Skirts or FRST Arches and skirts, still unsure on that aswell.

And a complete service and mop. :)

Here's a picture for you all to see what it'll look like:

What you think? :Q

Just give it a proper once over, may have had a front end crash and the wings were replaced hence no rub strips.

Tt was both their fault really, Not the overheating fact that was his mums fault but i did once remember the oil light being on for 3 days before they topped it up, only reason they topped it up was becuase it conked out running out of oil :rolleyes: , but ahwell everyone learns from there mistakes and knowing James i know he will look after this too well after what happened with the last one.

Most of it was Mothers fault because she never told me that the oil light was on! I'd have to find everything out myself, the hard way...

But as said I will look after this one as I don't want all this f**king bother again. Don't worry, nothing will blow. :lol:

Will do mate, planning on getting it moped! To make it really shine...

Got a few ding's in the passenger door that I need to sort out. Plus tiny bit of surface rust on one of the rear arches, and front valance, it a size of a 50p though so nothing bad, gunna get it sorted though, I hate rust! :x

Looks nice and clean. Is it my eyes though or has the passenger door had some paint? Looks a slightly lighter shade than the wing and rear quarter either side of it :-? Not the end of the world, or unexpected on a 14 odd year old car, just curious.

Also, in one of those pics there's a girl taking a sh!t in a sainsburys bag under a tree; you might wanna find another place to hang out :)
