That is awesome, simply awesome!
The fact you've done it all yourself make it even better!!!

Mind me asking, did you use 2 pack paint? If so, what kind of mask did you use?

:) i'm made up you all like it so much :) the girlfriend said the stripes looked "weird" so i was unsure, but my dad and I both liked them, so i guess women really don't know about cars :P

seriously though, i would like to get some opinions about the stripes and the bonnet, the bonnet was a bit random as i bought it black and i thought - it might look good it might look better white, but basically i havent got the time to paint it right now so i left it.

thanks for the comments, i really am chuffed :) and yes it was a lot of work :P

Good work,

Only one criticisum, why didn't you take the windscreen out for the re-spray ??

I like it when people choose the best colour for their cars

daring, but congrats!

i do think the bonnet wouldbe better white with a blue fade going up the centre (a la RS1600i) style though ;)

hmm, interesting you should say that, today i thought that a blue rs1600 style graphic would look good.... maybe i'll look into it.

i didn't take the windscreen out as it looked like i'd end up taking the dash etc out and in that case masking it up would save a number of hours so i just masked it, as i say, i was only trying to clean up the run around so i wasn't too bothered about having the blue paint under the rubber. i guess if i ever do have the glass out i will do it then.

:D i'm very pleased with the comments, thanks a lot

Hats off, i like that very very much it looks sooo smart, love the strips, black bonnet kind of works (white better) but its a proper crowd puller.

Its got that look that the magazines love, stick a zetec/zvh turbo in that then have a grudge with rawli's car, imagine the look of these two together

Well done :D

I REALLY like it!

My only one dislike is that black bonnet. I really like the stripes, but i dont think the bonnet goes with the rest of the car.

Other than that, very well done mate! :D

amazing work mate, and ive gotta say i like the black bonnet on it, now ive seen other cars with black bonnets and the rest of cars white but seems to work on yours, the stripes i do like aswel, i think the bonnet wouldnt work if you had colour coded the the bracket plates on the wing mirrors, and the laguna/espace splitter helps aswel with bit more black , is different, i like

I agree with everyone! Top job mate, looks pro! Where did u learn to spray and what equipment was you using?

IMHO i dont like the stripes, the blue is a bit random, but the black bonnet looks tough as! Absolutely stunning mate! Give yourself a pat on the back :)

Two things left to do. Fill out the log book and paint the bonnet white.

and what ratio was you mixing paint to thinners

cars looking great

dont worry about the arch and bummper , you can always fibreglass and filler that up if it cannot be moved around a little :aviator:
