Head unit Looms and cig lighter - Help

Postby MK3-MATT on Sat Oct 03, 2009 4:06 pm

Hi ive got a problem with the wiring loom to connect my head unit. There are two wires that appear to be cut and arent connected to anything and wondered if these were the problem.

I've never actually had to use both monitors to be able to post a message before...

Cig lighter first:

The thin green wire to the side of it is the illumination, should connect to any grey/yellow wire for the buttons back there. The center pin is for the feed from the positive (fused line from the battery) and the 'top of the T' pin is the ground.

Unfortunately, I have never seen a true example of what the head unit connection is supposed to be, the haynes manual is just downright wrong.

Got the head unit working, found the other end of the brown wire and twisted the two together. all the speakers sound really sh!t Confused i suspect its the wiring as all the speakers are really distorted even at low low volumes?

Also the left front speaker isn't connected (head unit end) Where does this connect to?

cheers
