im fitting a type 9 but i need a alloy bell housing. also may have to go trans-x gear kit. i'll see how long the standard thing lasts. it should be fine as the tyres will only be 175/50x13's

and yes, standard clear indicators fpmsl! should i go ambers?? :D

i wont bore you all with the build pics as there's like 300 odd of them  so i'll come in at around the re-fit time

a little idea of spec. i wont go into much detail as nearly everthing i had to make fit and tbh ive probably forgotten most of it now but here goes
5 linked rose jointed rear, rear discs and converted to GAZ coilovers
coilover front 2.8capri legs with universal spherical top mounts, wilwood front discs and calipers
willwood master cylinder under dash along with remote resovior
1.8 zvh, kent cvh34 cam kit, ofac managment mounted under dash, varley race battery, type 9 5 speed box, xr2i radiator.
original lighting curcuit used and ofac engine bay loom, rest i made myself

got the pipework from here http://www.solid-fabrications.co.uk i bought (all 304 stainless) 6x 180 degree, 2x 45 degree and 1 metre straight length with post 166 quid. that said, i didnt touch the metre length and ive got 2 and a half 180's left over. not quite as nice as 316 stainless but shines up nice and oncew its had a heat cycle or two through it, it should go a nice caramel colour :D flanges i made out of 10mm steel plate

cheers! :D

What a brilliant retro Ford :Q Nice to see the CVH-Turbo in RWD guise, not something you see very often - makes a for a refreshing change from the usual route of chucking a YB Cos into the oldskool Fords :)

cheers for replys :D

YB's arnt for me personally. not only that, i havnt got YB money anyway so that was always out the question  . not only that, i like the old cvh! :D its not high on the old skool ford ideal list as ive discovered  i couldnt tell you how many people have told me to "chuck a pinto in it" fook that! way, way too easy

rocker cover is just a ordinary sierra 1.8cvh one. painted by my own fair hands lol!
easy to do, i sprayed a light silver/alloy coloured paint on as a base, dried it off, then sprayed it over with water, then lightly dusted some satin black over it, dry that all off with a hot air gun then laquar straight over the top of it all once its dry, job done :D

ta all :D

thats the paint job i gave it :D i had someone say he thought (at first glance) it was a clear cover and the oil was dripping off the inside but then realised there was no sign of any rockers etc

cheers for the comments people! been out in it today for a brief bit. it is a LOT of fun  if i had my way, i rip all the pinto's out and fit cvh turbo power

jay, ive not thought about the mags yet buddy! still quite a few things to finish off :D

cheers! :D

yeah i realised thats the paint job but it just doesnt look clean like the rest of the bay, lets it down im IMHO as it looks like its either had oil spat all over it or theres been a fire in there somewhere and blistered the paint from the pics!

would have looked loads better just silver, white or black unfortunatly.

apart from that thoits a cracking car and very very different which is great :D
