My Black Fiesta RS Turbo H262 CPO - 18/06/10 Update
Here is my Black Fiesta RS Turbo
Picked it up from Lance, slaney21, yesterday morning
Photos of it this morning, headlight protectors have been removed from when I collected it and the cassette dashboard holder has been removed as well
Here are a few after changing some bits over this morning. I have put the amber indicators back in, removed the dump valve and also fitted my RS steering wheel
Just needs a wash now
The chrome parts, headlight protectors and boot install are all being sold but I have plenty of things planned and will update this thread in due course
Comments welcome
Scott

As I've told several times, you've got the bargain of the year there mate,
I'm not sure on that steering wheel though
Will look so much better with all that chrome binned.
I just love the standard look on these nowadays, must be my age
Enjoy

Steering wheel looks orange in the picture but it is definately red
The camera threw a wobbly taking that picture because it wasnt expecting the sun to be out !!

Re: My Black Fiesta RS Turbo H262 CPO
Thats very similar to my FRST.
TBH though I also prefer the standard look and yours looks very original from the outside.
I agree wuth your plans about getting rid of all the chrome. I think it would also be better if you could source the standard air box and fit that, just seems to tidy the bay up a lot more.
Gareth.

The return to standard, from the above sig pics - back to how Ford intended..............

Needs amber sides as well though
Hopefully getting these soon along with a few bits and then all the chrome can finally come off and be sold
It needs a wash as well as it will look a million times better when it is shiny

Not after any standard parts now
I've sourced the parts I need to replace the chrome, just waiting for them to arrive, or for me to collect them
Hoping to get the car in the garage when the snow and ice melts outside of it so I can get cracking on removing the chrome

No updates at the moment Lance
I have removed the majority of the chrome parts now which are up for sale in various places, quite a bit has sold already
I'm curerntly thinking about what I want to do with the car but I think I will be selling it on in the near future so there probably wont be many more updates to be honest

Re: My Black Fiesta RS Turbo H262 CPO - 07/01/10 Snow
Here are a few updated pictures of the car
It has been in the garage for around 6 months now and I thought it was time to get it going again
It looks rough in the pictures and it needs a good clean. As you can see the majority of the chrome has now been removed
It is now out of tax and MOT so that needs sorting first. Charged the battery and it fired straight up but it wont idle so I expect I need to adjust something from when I had the throttle cable off to remove the chrome
Will update again once I've given it a good clean, once the idling has been sorted I will get it off for a MOT and see what happens from there

Basically the same as what has happened to mine
The roof was leaking and I knew I was going to leave the car in the garage so got a tarpaulin and nailed that to the roof to keep the worst of the weather out. The marks on the car are where the roof has dried out and the dust and rubbish that has come out of the boards has fallen on the car
With a decent clean it looks like most of it will come off without too much hassle

its a paint when they leak aint it, 8 months of complaining and the council replaced the roofs on all the garages, but they fitted metal roofs, and the condensation builds up and drips down, so cant win

Stuck the tarpaulin over it for the winter and hopefully have it sorted over the summer

Once I have got rid of my Si shell it is being broken as it needs inner and out sill one side, outer sill the other side and a section of the floor welding where it has had a very poor repair in the past
Unfortunately to get the work done is not economical so it will be broken as it is worth more in parts

sorry to hear mate. Shame really as i was assured it was mint when i bought it but with the headgasket repair which i wasn't told of amongst a few other things it just seems a pisser
Just out of interest would it cost a lot for the parts you mentioned to be rectified?
hope your well mate
