Specialised Engines 1.9 CVH & parts - £1100 ovno

Postby andyhardy on Thu May 18, 2006 4:34 pm

Hi all,

Selling my FRST's engine seperately, this car put in some good times at Bruntingthorpe (timed on Datron timing gear - not a GTech meter ) - here's a list of the spec. and what I'm selling with it.

Specialised Engines stage 2 lightened and balanced 1.9 CVH bottom end (see http://www.specialisedengines.co.uk for more details and 'new' prices) - has a total of approximately 11k on it, 3 thousand mile oil changes/3 months (whichever happened to come soonest)
- Polished FRST cylinder head with Kent CVH34 camshaft and Kent Cams vernier pulley
- Felpro head gasket
- Escort RS Turbo distributor and cap
- Magnecor 10mm HT leads with thermotec heat shielding
- Weber Marelli CPS with modified crank pulley (for L8 ECU crank position timing)
- Weber Marelli hall effect sensor with Jano Oddkidd laser cut stainless steel spring loaded bracket (as used on Lancia Delta's) and camshaft pulley plate (for L8 Cosworth camshaft timing)
- Modified Alternator spacing plate (due to extra pulley for Cossie CPS pulley), alternator bracket and modified FRST alternator
- Burton chrome CVH FRST rocker cover

Here's some pictures of the engine, you'll have to excuse the mess in my garage, I'll give it a clean up once everything's gone!

For those interested, here's a couple of pictures of the bottom end as it was before I fitted it in my Fiesta :)

The chrome rocker cover is worth £175 new from Burton Power, Kent CVH34 camshaft is worth £170 new, Kent Vernier pulley worth £80 new, £100+ worth of brackets and trigger rings for Cosworth management (as well as original pulleys if running EEC-IV), Weber Marelli Camshaft sensor and Weber Marelli CPS for running with Level 8 Cosworth ECU, EEC-IV CPS still in situ (so can swap back to EEC-IV management with no problems) and then there's the actual engine block (worth £1800 or so new from Specialised engines) and head (worth around £100 to £150 alone) itself along with the fact it's got a very recently fitted Felpro headgasket which is more than up to the job of keeping this engine together running 20psi :) - oh forgot to mention it comes with EEC-IV flywheel as well (FRST) as well as the usual thermostat housing stuff etc.

I'm after £1100ovno for the engine including the CPS, camshaft sensor, brackets, modified alternator, Escort RST distributor and cap and Magnecor leads and Cosworth Denso spark plugs.

Collection only - viewing welcomed. I can also take more pictures of the engine and parts for those that are interested.

Cheers,

Andy
