Trax 2012 - Silverstone Circuit - (02/09)
Date: Sunday 2nd September 2012
Location: Silverstone Circuit
Payment Deadline: 1st July 2012
Tickets: £16 per person (+£1 postage or £2 recorded postage)
Vehicle PassesFree when bought with a ticket
Track Time £30 per 15-min session
Paypal address fiestaturbotickets [at] hotmail.CO.UK
Please send payments as a gift as we cannot afford to take a hit on each one. You will notice I've added on £1 per ticket, this is to help fund a gazebo that doesn't fall down in the wind. We used to do it from a few pence out of postage but since stamps have gone up the profit is virtually nil.
Stand pass holders are advised to arrive before 9am, traffic entering the circuit from 8:30 onwards gets beyond ridiculous. If you arrive after then, expect to park up on the stand around 10-11am!

Re: Trax 2012 - Silverstone Circuit - Sun 2nd September
Ground Rules:
- With each ticket you MUST enclose your name, address, car registration number and a mobile contact number should there be any problems either with tickets or at the show. These details will remain private and only used if absolutely necessary by whoever is on-site (either Tweek, hb69, jayrs, chris_2i).
- Always remember you are representing FiestaTurbo.com, any bad behaviour or dangerous driving ends up affecting the club. Please drive carefully and with respect both on-site and in the surrounding areas. This means no speeding, burnouts, doughnuts or any other form of dangerous driving. Any member reported performing such acts will have their car and username banned from further ticket purchases.
- After arriving on a show stand, please contact one of the stand organisers before parking and before walking away from the area. This is to make sure your car isn't going to interfere with anybody else and also help make the stand look as attractive as possible. Failing to do so may result in you being called back to the stand, if this isn't possible we will consider it non-compliance to show rules
- All stands will offer a "first come - first served" arrangement. If you arrive late, don't expect to have a prominent position. Adding to this, there may be occasions where a "centre-piece" is featured. This will again be created with the first available cars.
- When leaving a show, please take any litter you have to a bin, if there isn't one, take it with you.
- Finally, we are a community. Take time to meet new faces from the forums and enjoy the day.

Don't think I've ever been tbh, dunno if I'd go with FT or RT either
What's the deal with track time, does that include insurance (for circuit damage etc) ? Are there a set of rules regarding safety equipment requirements ?

It's safe to assume for any track event there is no insurance coverage unless you organise it yourself, which can be done cheaply enough through companies like Motorsport insurance services

Thanks mate, I'm thinking liability for circuit damage, which can easily run to thousands. I'm genuinely surprised there's nothing on there about that.

Theres tons of run off at silverstone, and the barriers are mostly protected by tyre walls. The only place i know of that has cost anyone i know for circuit repairs (armco, and cleaning up after spillages) is the Nurburgring

Thanks mate, I was quoted £130 a day for ring insurance a couple of years back, fwiw. I hear they spot check for adequate cover on the way onto the 'ring as a lot of tourists weren't carrying cover. 99% of domestic insurers won't cover you on there any more either.
Mine needs some serious TLC before it can go near a circuit, including adjustable tie rods and tca's (though tbh, camber's fine for track use atm, looks like she's been kicked in the balls! ). Maybe next year (I'll say that next year too )

Re: Trax 2012 - Silverstone Circuit - (02/09)
There simply were not enough cars to warrant me the hassle of organising our own stand. I spoke to Max as an alternative option and after agreeing with him and everyone else who bought a ticket through me, the option was viable

Re: Trax 2012 - Silverstone Circuit - (02/09)
Sorry Jony I thought everyone knew, Wayne said there isn't really much point in organising or being on a tiny stand. This merge nearly happened last year or the year before and is the reason I started doing my own stand as I knew my group of mates would double he size of the ft stand anyway.
