Good man.
Can you keep an eye on the exhaust manifold gasket? I need to know if I can use that one (I thought I couldn't because it wouldn't seal properly against the shape of the manifold ports, plus the ERST one uses fire rings...?).
Keep up the good work chap!

How would you space the engine mount down? The horizontal bolt hole would need to be re-drilled and tapped into the mount wouldn't it?

Yeah Al I re-drilled the offside chassis leg. Firstly got a piece of metal tube, measured the O/D then drilled centrally at the point I needed. Put the tube in and welded a seam at both ends.
Drilled a small hole underneath and sprayed wax everywhere.

Lol at my last post Mark was right i meant lower not raise the engine
Anyway we( ) spaced the gearbox cradle lower using 10mm blocks which also means you then have to lower the xmember 10mm too so it clears the cradle, this was how it was fitted in duncans car by shepards on advice from ian howell so i was told and i am sure it is so the charge carrier clears the bonnet!

Mate - I made exactly the same msitake as that, flip it round and I think you'll see it lines up perfectly without cutting anything. If you've got it on by cutting it you'll see that the gasket covers 7mm of the ports.
I think that's right anyway, it was a while ago I did that....

Now got to plumb it in totally and wire up etc, sort out new downpipe, finish fitting one of my brake discs and bobs ya uncle, back to body work
May end up spraying enough paint on then running car in while i spend evenings with the polisher smoothing and polishing the paint.. need to get the miles on it as its booked for map
