Finding the right Mk3.5 Momo/Sparco/etc steering wheel hub
thought i would post this up in here in the hope of it going in the guides/FAQ's...
basically i'll cut a long story short but i have had 4 weeks of messing around trying to find the correct hub for the mk3.5 hub.... as most places even halfords momo dealer weren't aware of a mk3.5 its either mk3 or mk4 etc etc
so after all the messing heres the code for the mk3.5 hub momo part no:- MA4536 it is listed as a mk4 with airbag i think on there computer but it does fit
and heres a pic for you

hence my annoyance

dont blame you for going in a kicking up a fuss, had the worlds most most rude halfords employee dealing with a question i asked (it was first day of the sale but that is no excuse!) them about a JVC cd player that we got from them 12 months go and if there was an aux input as we cant find the book anywhere and dont want the hassle of removing it to look......
all i got was "i dont know why dont you look on the back!"
well.... red rag to a bull springs to mind! totally lost it with him! ended up swearing my head off at him and walking off! getting tha manager probably would ahve been a better option, but it made me feel better making him feel really really small and stupid!
bearing in mind this was after i had been given a right run round in PC world after going to buy a motherboard and chip, was told to go to one place and they knew nothing about it they then asked me to go and ask the bloke who told me to ask them to go see them about it to find out what he was on about,
the reply they got was
"i am not a msg service and they could stick the chip!"
so all in all had a really good day that day

Anyone know if the mk3 one doesn't fit, guessing from this it doesn't but why not?
Is it the mounting points or what ?

mk3
i had bother getting a boss for a mk3.5 and found a relatively easy solusion , on the fiesta steering column there is a cast aluminium bit that contains the workings of the steering lock and houses the ignition barrel and the indicater/wiper stalks bolt to , if you remove the standard steering wheel take out your ignition barrel and indicator stalks the cast bit slides off , replace the mk3.5 one with one from a mk3 and you are free to use a mk3 boss/steering wheel and your steering lock will still work , i got the cast bit from my local scrappy for £3 , just remember to replace the white plastic tapered spacer that goes between steering wheel and column or your steering will be stiff
