Yellow Fiesta Si - New Wheels and now For Sale 19/04/09

Postby sjoyce666 on Wed Mar 12, 2008 8:52 pm

Here are a few pics of my Yellow Si

Running the standard 1.6 engine with a Pipercross air filter and stainless exhaust although i do have a 2.0 in the garage i still havent decided whether to fit it or to sell it on as i also have a RS1800 inlet and a correct ECU and MAF

Interior is partially stripped with only the front seats still in, i have some 4 points harnesses to fit as well, will fit them and remove the rest of the rear trim at the same time

It did have some 14" Black Ghia alloys but i finished work early today so swapped them for the 14" Si steels and took a few pics

Got a few more things to do to it, needs the dash taking out and the wiring looking at as there are splices and wirings hanging down everywhere, also after some new wheels for it although i may stick with the steels for a while yet

The pics really dont show how yellow it is, in the flesh it is close to high visibility jacket yellow

Never seen a yellow one, looks better than I expected. Definitely a bird's motor though in that colour.

One of the lads after football on Saturday thought it would be hilarious to write that

It does need a clean though, maybe one day

As for wheels i was thinking of 16" Mondeo 5 spokes or ST24 painted black

I've got arches and sideskirts that need to be painted and fitted as well when funds and time allow

I knew it wasnt going to be everyones cup of tea but thanks for all the comments

Wiring shouldnt be too bad, the blue cable is the CD changer cable from the headunit, all the brown wires are the PATS which has fallen down from behind the dash and needs to be put back, the other wiring is what me and a mate bodged together to get the front speakers working one weekend

Wont really know the full horror until i get round to taking the dash out

Bought it off eBay around November last year i believe

Cant decide between getting some black alloys or keeping the 14" steelies, might go 15" steelies but then its a case of running spacers and longer studs which isnt a major problem

Really like the look of it on steelies at the moment so will try and get my better tyres swapped onto these wheels for a while and get a few bits of bodywork sorted out like the few bits of rust appearing and the arches and skirts sprayed and fitted

Thanks for all the comments

Yeah defantly sort of sleeper look.

Do something different with the wheels keep the steelies or something black. imo i wouldn't get gti/mondeo alloys getting to common and as this car is not the normal, get something different.

But i reckon the car looks mental, nice one

Still got loads of parts to fit, coilovers, adjustable lower arms, 2.0 engine with diesel gearbox, another backbox, new seats in the plans as well

Ive got two sets or arches and sideskirts, the problem is the paint !!

Its not a standard colour and i didnt have it painted, my nephew will paint them for me when i source the paint

The paint makers are Sikkens and the colour is Nuon Yellow but i dont know which type of paint has been used as that colour is made in 8 types of Sikkens paint

I didnt take any before the wheels were fitted pics as it was covered in mud, looked as if i had done a few rally stages !!

I went to the local jet wash and gave it a quick once over, it still needs a proper clean but its clean enough for now !!
