And so it begins again!!
I have been looking for another fiesta rs turbo that i could give some love and attention too for a while now !!!
I didn't want to spend mega money due to most of my cash going towards the house at the moment. So having a very small budget, i was limited in to what I could really buy.
So last week on eBay one caught my eye! With Quite a good spec and in need of tlc. It was at £1850 with no bids and the auction ran out. So a few days passed and I thought why not give it a shot and contact the guy to see if it did sell or if he still had it. Low and behold he still had it
So we chatted and we came to an agreed price of £1500, happy days
But the car was located near Manchester me being south london and also it had been sitting for 7 months, so i didn't really want to drive it back ( been and done that before and has never gone well when picking up an Rs).
So I found a company on eBay located near the car, and a quick email to the guy I got a price of £250 to be picked up and then delivered to my door.
So money was transferred, car was picked up and today I received it.
Mad I know..... I bought this car without even looking at it, just an eBay advert and contact from the owner through emails and phone calls
Right the details of said car!!
Hpi clear
4 previous owners
Service history up to 72k miles
Currently on 98k miles
Stage 3 head
Kent cam & vernier pulley
Accralite forged pistons
Group a head gasket
T2 turbo with t3 internals, 360 bearing and cut back blades
Beige injectors
Magnet exhaust
4 paddle clutch
Pace intercooler
Airtic alloy radiator
Spax shocks with standard springs
12 months mot
Etc.....
It has had welding done to the sills and floor plain, needs the fuel cap area sorted a few other scabs of rust done but nothing major !!
Came with original wheels on good tyres in the boot
Have looked over the car on the ramp it will need the tracking sorted, n/s/f wheel bearing has play, needs brakes bleeding, sump gasket needs changing, needs a service and tax
Going to change the exhaust to a scorpion full system, get it lowered and put standard rear lights back on
And away we go

Small update
Fitted new front indicator lamps, re fitted the standard wheels, fitted an alpine head unit with iPod connectivity and hands free !!! And sorted an air leak
Tomorrow should be fitting another exhaust and hopefully My lowering springs will turn up
Also need to sort out new keys as they are getting worn and the plastic part is starting to spin round on the keys !!
Need to replace the dip stick tube as its loose in the block then tidy body
The thing is lethal tho
Will get better pics once I'm not at work and have time to enjoy it

I bet its not fast...so i think Patieman should do a couple of vids of it in action, one in car and a few drive-bys.
Otherwise i wont believe it is "fast"

Re: And so it begins again!!
Thats better
Pastieman if and when you come to do that qtr panel, ive a pair of outer lower qtr panel/arch repair sections(with the wrap round corners that go to back panel) if your interested...
i know Complete qtrs are hard to find, yet the fuel neck repair panels are still about.
Not OE panels but im only asking what i paid plus postage for them...i'll list em on here soon but thought id offer ya first seeing as you own the best colour frst, same as me

Who actually thinks those clear rear lights look good? Standard lights are so much better in every single way. I'm glad you've gone with standard rears rather than the RS ones - if you've got ambers up front, amber repeaters, it should be amber on the back too
I really love a white RS - looks stunning
