Cossie fuel pump questions
What type, make, model do I need? Are they internal or external? Best place to get one and how much should I be paying.

EsCos in-tank pump. There's always an ad in Fast Ford or Performance Ford, can't remember which, maybe both. It has four pictures of pumps I think, and next to each one it has the details of the cars and power outputs it can be used with. They call them things like Track350 and stuff. I used them, was about 110 including postage I think, very quick service, would deal with again A++++

Quite a bit more expensive though I seem to remember...I might be wrong though. Their postage is always a total assrape so I try to find things from anywhere else if possible!

FIESTA TURBO EFI (Motor sport) is highlighted in blue, that's the one I think. Just give them a bell Jamie, they'll tell you which you need. Burton charge about 135 quid for postage. The pump at the place I got mine from (the place you linked to, and the place I've linked to above) is 90 quid, and postage was a tenner or so. Give them a bell if you're unsure, tell them what you've got, what power you want the pump to be good for, and you'll be sorted

Yep, tank off, top off the tank and swap them. I had to modify the pump cradle a bit, you'll find it in my ZT conversion thread in the Member's Gallery

MixonFRST :How hard are they to fit? do you need to drop the tank off?
Simon made me a panel by cutting out a square in the shell, it bolts back down and is covered in sound proofing - I can do almost rally-mechanic fuel pump changes if necessary now
TonyBlackFRST is the man to ask about removing/replacing mk3 Fiesta fuel tanks, he's done it more than I've had hot dinners (ok maybe not that many times ).
Cheers,
Andy

Jamie - I bought my Radtec radiator and intercooler from Radtec, surprisingly enough!
Removing the fuel tank's a bit of a crappy job, but not so bad. Read your Haynes first, it's all plain sailing really, and having a second person makes it much easier, though it can be done alone.
Cutting an access hole into the rear seat would be a good move if you can be bothered. The hole that's there only needs to be a bit bigger really....why oh why couldn't Ford just have an access hole there in the first place?
I suggest you get the pump from the place I suggested. It's about 20 quid cheaper I think, Burton are such a rip off

i got mine from power engineering was about 135 wish i had looked around abit . When you remove the tank is alot easier to have very little fuel in it as when u pull the filler thing out it all comes out plus its heavy with fuel in.

Yeah definitely. I nearly bought a Walbro pump from the US, but ran out of time and had to buy from the UK. I think they were about 140 bucks. You could do with finding out the flow rate though. I'd imagine it's probably a 155 litre/hour one, but wait for confirmation.
