Sale of the Century

Postby JJ on Mon Jan 26, 2004 2:12 am

Ladies and gentlemen, fans of the 'subtle' Euro-look, I ask you for help....I need to find a good home for my old skool project Fiesta....

Image
Image

It's currently in storage, but I need to sell it on, either as a complete car or as parts. Why, because it's costing too much to store it and I haven't used it for over a year!

It needs a little tlc, having been sat there for so long but, even if you buy it just for the parts (see http://www.jamesw.plus.com/fiestas/ for the Spec) you'll get a bargain! The choice is yours! The pictures show the car as it used to be - as I say, it needs a little tlc to bring it back to it's former glory, but it'd make a superb project car for someone, and a fresh alternative to the current vogue of Jap styled objects vagely resembling cars  Before going into storage the car had new front/rear panels seam-welded in place (the original ones were a little tatty), and the roof drip rails redone in lead, plus a few other parts leaded (around the rear lights, door handles, etc.) all replacing the original filler. I also sold the Cossie front bumper, to make way for a new bumper (which alas I never had time to buy). Consequently, the car really needs a respray. There's a fantastic leather/alcantara Mk4 interior, chrome roll cage, 1600 hybrid T2 200bhp chromed engine with Ahmed chip, one-off Pace chargecooler, strengthed IB5 box/AP clutch and Magnex exhaust, Cossie brakes, coilover Koni suspension, Puma rear beam, and body mods galore (Audi door handles, shaved roof drip rails, Mk4 sunk-in side indicators, Mk4 boot, Mk4 windscreen, 'subtly' modded/totally smoothed bonnet)! Surely a huge head-start for someone wanting a project car?

Shall I start the bidding - best offer over £3k...

James

P.S. Ade....I hope you don't mind me posting in the Main Forum ..... it's a worthy cause

You have PM!

An addendum to the above info....
I should point out that, as the car is in storage, it has no MOT or tax (it's on SORN). My preference is to sell it complete rather than break it and as such, you'd have to arrange collection from Kent (with a trailer).

Think some up to date pics would be a good idia, people dont know what they are buying dude,
Tis an ace car, this is the car that really got me into fiesta's years ago, thats why my car is now sat on mondy rims...
Hope you get what you want for it, i really want it,

Thanks for the responses....

Why am I selling it? Well, I have a house and a very nice Clio 172 (soon to be a Clio 172 with 210bhp!) which is great fun on the road and on track days. And no time or money really to devote purely to the Fiesta.

Like I said, I really want to sell it as a complete car as I don't have either the storage space or the time to break it and sell the parts separately. It's got to be a complete bargain for someone looking for a project. Failing that I might just resurrect it later this year, as a track-day car.

I'm getting it trailered over to a friend's soon, so I'll get some photos taken...

bridgend_boy :pm'd you an offer mate!

Thanks, and you have PM!

Just a thought, but if a few of you club together, you could buy the complete car and then split the bits between you. So, six of you @ £500 each = £3k and a choice selection of some very nice spare parts!

Without a doubt the finest fiesta you will ever see. For those who don't know, James was putting mk4 bits onto/into his fiesta while half of you lot were still at school. Its a shame its not been kept perfect but this is a great opportunity for some lucky person to give it the TLC it deserves.

BTTMFT!
