Pics of my GRS setup
ive had a few enquiries from poeple asking whats involved in fitting my GRS intercooler. the cores on this cooler are 60mm thick compared to 50mm used on the nomral fiesta and escort ones. Its about 3/4 the volume of the normal fiesta EVO 3 cooler and roughly the same volume as the escort S2 one.
Good thing about this design is that only 20% of the core is covered by the bumper the rest can have as much air as it wants !!!
so here are some pics
unfortunetly you gotta shred the bumper, i luved this part !!
i had to carefully take the metal part out, you could weld in another piece of thiner metal to keep the bumper strong, ill be doing that eventually
three small holes have to be drilled on the car and a small part has to be cut and bent a bit
pics of cooler without bumper (i used the wire mesh to protect from stones and its easier to clean those annoying squashed flyes)
i left some extra room between fan and cooler as i will be going for a T3 conversion soon
final pic of it fitted
result = ACTs never seen above 39degrees even at 137mph at hot brunters in september
Big thanks to Graham for building it for me
excuse the lame english as im tired and ive probably missed bits out etc so might be edited tomorrow lol
lemmi know what u all think
thanks, goodnite

Fiestasi-Andy :Robin :looks good mate thought it would be bigger than that
me too, but looks mean
very true but i felt that i might get lag with the bigger version so opted for this size instead and i didnt want to cut the car up either, i didnt care about shredding the bumper as it can be replaced for £30 or so.
Main thing is that is does its job very well and ive noticed the car pulls alot better however the weather.
cheers for the comments

i know it aint really worth the effort considering u lazy as hell
but if u wanted to gain the other 20% of the cool then u could (bumper allowing) pull the top of the cooler forward or bottom back to such an angle that u get full exposure
