HCS is OHV, just not a Kent.

I see what you mean but to be honest, the advance curves are different and it wouldn't run properly and/or likely drink fuel (more that it should anyways).

Just wondering, does the HCS and the CVH share the same starter motor?

Many thanks

Most Fords do but some older ones are known to interfere with the CPS - Excursion and Snake know more about this than me

xrsi :Al- the fuel pump is the same on the frst and 2i!!

It's a different part number:

EFi n/a is 6978840
SEFi n/a is 7148941
CFi to 04/94 is 7186296
CFi from 04/94 on is 7102611
EFi turbo is 6583726

All same price - about £140 from Ford for the complete pump and sender unit.

Stoned,

Ford offered a little-known power upgrade kit for the 1.0L in the form of a hole cut out of the driver's floor and the fitting of pedals :D

People say you can plug a 1.6 carb cvh into the 1.1 hcs wiring with 4 wires, if so, what stays at what goes under the bonnet wiring wise?
