hey peeps, u all know that the install is coming along just everything needs to be tidied up and amp rack needs to go in but that is on hold at the moment....

Yday me and a good m8 started preparing the car for the respray and this is how we got on:

today gona sand down the filler and start sanding the rest of the car down...should be fun!!!

ill keep u all informed how it goes!

install should be done in the next week or so...the spraying will probably take another week or 2 as well...then the rest of the time will be spent tidying the car up..oh and uni

im goin 2 gti international 2! keep ur eyes peeled for the proformance vw stand. look out 4 there gray golf rallye. all the bodywork was done in the body shop where i work. rear bumper was made by my own fair hands we r goin to have 8 cars up there

cheers for the comments peeps! all the work is being undertaken by myself and a very good friend of mine and i reckon we are doing really well considering it my first time i have done nething to do with bodywork (my m8 has only done it once before!)

today, we rubbed down all the filler and then put another layer of filler on and then we had to call it a day there as i had to go to work!

but we'll be back out there tomo carrying on with the work...plans for tomo are sand down the filler again, and sand down the rest of the car, put new wings on, and get as much primer on as we can

if everything goes to plan, the car should be painted by next weekend

the colour will be staying the same, a nice deep black will suit the car really well i think...but if possible, i may try to ask the painter if he would do a deep black with gold metal flakes in there...now that would look great!

the back of the car will be de-baged but i might get SCIROCCO written in that silver lettering

i was thinking of going for a bee-sting but still undecided on that?...what do u reckon?

mike, come over to the No-Rice stand on the saturday as my car will be on show there and say hello!...we will be convoying down with our little 'Vee-dub' crew in the morning and then all the cars are going off onto various stands...heres a taster as to what we are taking :

well today we finished sanding the filler down and got on with some more work...by the end of the day we managed to get 3 layers of primer on so not long to go now hopefully!! still gotta rub down the complete car which is gonna take another day or 2!!
