Why I didn't get to FITP [blowout pic uploaded!]

Hi everyone!

Sorry I didn't make it to FITP - I was on my way there when I managed to blow a tyre out (doing 125) on the M25 when I hit a bump, took off and landed too hard on the lowered front suspension. It pushed the piece of wing which holds the wheel arch liner into the tyre cutting it around the edge of the tyre wall!

Luckily I managed to keep hold of it and pulled over to the hard shoulder - I was somewhere in Hertfordshire at the time and didn't really fancy turning up in an RS with 3 15" wheels and one scabby 14" steel!

Oh well - there's always next year!

I'd spent the whole day before getting my audioscape speaker pods and PS2 with screen installed - sod's law!

I've ordered 2 new Yoko's to go on it and I've got my mate re-setting up the suspension (and grinding away most of the inside of the wheelarches!) so that it won't be happening again (next time I'll have to get over 130 on that bump!) :D

fookin well lucky, my mate had a blow out doin 65 and he wrote his car off crashing in2 the central reservation!!!
No longer a FRST owner, or even a Fiesta owner :(
