Stick a 2.0 zetec in :)

The 1.6 zetec isnt the best engine for tuning, as it doesnt respond very well!

you would get 136 bhp as standard from a 2.0.

It's perfectly feasible. Ask Phil from this site about it, he's got a 2.0 Mondy engine in an Si. And you get the fuel consumption from the 2.0 Zetec too, which is about 35mpg according to Parkers.co.uk. Well, if you don't rag it everywhere :oooh: .

My insurance company told me that I would have to be held against a wall and anally violated for three days if I wanted a 2.0 Si, but I have heard that some nice places will insure you on the insurance group of the car the engine came from - so in your case, group 11/12. Obviously you've got to get an engineer's report and stuff to prove it's safe though :)

Dunno about the cost, sorry. It's not too bad though.

You will need to build a space frame to mount the engine onto.

Then you will need to employ 6 small Irish or Norwegian nuns to internally inspect every passageway in the engine.

You will need a headgasket knitted from the finest lamb's testicle sack wool, bolted down with pure unobtanium wingnuts.

Finally, installation will have to be carried out in the caves of Mortor, under the watchful eye of the ringmaster (but avoid bending over in front of him).

Your destiny awaits you my child; now go fly!

I don't think it's much harder than swapping a 1.6 for a 2.0. It's the same sized engine bay :)

It is as the 1.6 has the same mounts etc as the 2 lite. The 1.1's mounts, raditor, loom, fule tank etc etc etc are different
