I finally got the modified lower arms on the the Fezzie now and i've had the car Laser tracked... what a difference, more control, no torque steer, no tram lineing, it goes straight!!!!!!! even fast over taking is much better controlled! (you should have seen the Corsa SRi driver, he do-do him self!)
Highly recomended!!
Buy a set tomorrow!

Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

can you explain what you had done ?
pauls xr2i needs new bushes but powerflex/superflex (whatever they are called) don't do them
He changed the lower arms but halfords had given him the wrong ones so the steering became worse
Any suggestions ?????

They are modified lower front suspension arms from Ian Howell.
They are basically a new set of genuine Ford (not pattern) arms that have had the rubber bushes replaced with rose joints and been modified to allow +/- 10mm adjustments in length, therfore providing a means of camber adjustment.
Having rose joints instead of rubber bushes the car doesn't wander about as much and is a lot more controllable.
I spoke to Paul last night and he says there is no noticable difference in ride quality, just a mild increase in road noise, and the car seemed easier to turn at low speeds.
Highly recommended.
Cost is about £260 for the pair, made to order to the highest possible standards.

so how many people actually have these now?
Me, PaulJ and PaulR.
Anyone else?
PaulJ - Sounds like your having the same sorta probs as me (regarding going through more gearboxes than hot meals!)
Ian told me that you also have a Quaife plate diff (I think) - Did you have to add a secondary speed sensor for your Speedo as the diff takes up all the space in the box and doesn't allow you to use the standard speedo cable!?? - If so what one did you go for!?
