ice door pods guide

right im gunna make a guide for custom door pods peps: i havnt got a fez any more but the methods are the same!

Basically you want to first get the card board ring that comes with the speaker set if you have not got this get a compass!

you want to get some 6mm mdf and cut 4 rings out, then cut say 4 one cm by one cm cubes (if u want a steeper and then make these bits taller) you want wood glue these cubes sorta at the back two on each side then stick the rings together! leave this over night to dry.

right now get the door pocket, offer your pod up to it then mark with a wax crayon and get the jigsaw out now cut the circle! stick the pod down using fiberglass smother the bottom in it and leave for bout 30 mins.

now wot you can do is build it up with fiberglass i didnt wanna do that and i think it wuld be risky and could fall out so i got some old t shirt which was pretty stretchy and i tacked it to the mdf rings and pulled it to the shape i wanted and tacked it down the the plastic ( you will have to press hard otherwise the tacks wont go it but as lng as they hold till you can smother it in resin, then leave it to go rock hard!

now i got the FG out and layerd it over the hard tshirt and resin then sand it down to buggery using 80 grit and using your hands try and stay to the shape i only did two layers but the smoother you can be arsed to get it now the easy the other filler stage is!

now once i got this shape i got normal car filler and stuck a thin layer over and sanded using 60 grit. I then had to go over the craters this takes a while cos they are annoying as hell

I bought some filler primer and used this as a referance primer to see the high and low spots! and fill some over the smaller cracks, if you want to spray you will have to rub down the whole pocket and smooth the pod to the max that take a while being lazy i covered mine in stretchy black material i got from some asian women which was sweet haha so thats the general jist of it i went from a shocker in my fez ( look in profile!) to this which im happy with so ill let you decide! feel free to add anything

cheers
