My 264Bhp Zetec Turbo Escort, £2995 ono with a full MOT
The car comes as described on my website http://homepage.ntlworld.com/l.esberger/ with an MOT until March 17th 2005 (although my intention is to re-MOT it). The car has also only covered 73,000 miles and has yearly oil changes with Castrol GTX Magnetec (I would do an oil/filter change every 6 months, but there's little point when your annual mileage is less than 3,000 miles per year). I also have all of the booklets in the original Ford folder, with loads of receipts, alarm & immobilizer guides etc.
Just to cover what the car is:- It's a 1990 (H-reg) 1.8 16v Zetec Turbo powered Mk4 Escort XR3i XR Owners Club car, which was rolling roaded at 264 bhp at Paul Goy Racing, and before that, it made 229 bhp at Well Lane TurboCentre during a Fast Fords magazine shoot out when the engine was being run in. It is also due to be covered in Classic Ford magazine and recently won a trophy at York Dragway for being the fastest car in the FordSport car club. It also made 8th postition in being the Fastest overall Ford of the Dragway's annual Ford shootout competition.
It is great fun to drive, even if a bit lairy at times, and is the most powerful car I have ever owned, but I need to look towards a new car, which has meant that the Escort only ever comes out for 6 months in the year to display at car shows.
Manufacturers electric pack (X-pack) includes:- Electric windows, electric mirrors (+ heated), central locking, heated front & rear windows, variable speed intermittent wiper, front & rear interior lights.
Please note that the In Car Entertainment shown on my website, other than the standard speakers & the Panasonic CQ-DFX400 CD headunit, will not be included in the sale as the rest will be sold separately.
The 'BIG BHP' reg plate is just a show plate by the way, not the actual registration number.
The bad bits. There are a few rust bubbles appearing at the top of the 2 doors, the alarm doesn't work, the electric window mechanisms could do with a re-grease as they are a little slow and the intermittent wiper function doesn't always operate.
I may also p/x with a cabriolet (BMW would be nice), an off road 4x4 or a people carrier for the misses (don't laugh).

Somebody make me an offer. I've just spent an hour with a potential buyer, but no luck this time.
No reasonable offer refused.

It's still down as a 1.6 XR3i as I never got round to changing the engine number on the logbook and I'm insured for any vehicle on my company car policy.
