Mondeo V6 Calipers *CHEAP*

Postby wywywywy on Thu Dec 09, 2004 11:06 pm

Hi,

I have for sale a pair of Mondeo V6 brake calipers.

They are for 260mm discs, not the 278mm version.

They are in good condition, no split on the seals, currently painted in red, and come with pads (with plenty of life left). They originally came from a 1995/96 Mondeo V6 Ghia.

I originally bought them thinking they were the 278mm version, now apparently they are not, so they are up for sale.

Looking for 25.00GBP plus postage, which would be around 10.00GBP. Collection preferred apparently due to the weight.

I am in Warrington, Cheshire - inbetween Manchester and Liverpool. Can meet halfway within 10 miles. Collection welcome.

May swap for Escort Mk6 stuff.

Accept Paypal, Nochex, Fastpay, bank transfer, cheque, postal order, cash (if picking up). I prefer direct bank transfer.

PM or reply or email or MSN wywywywy@hotmail.com

Many thanks.

I might go back to Cardiff on Xmas eve if that helps >_<
But then I might not, I've got no plans for Xmas at all yet.

Hi,

Is meeting in Salford or Tradford Centre okay?
Because I don't really want to go through the M60 at day time...

Project has got a set on his car :)
He would be your first point of contact I think?

Anyway, using my hub, I'd need some Escort RS2000 discs (also 260mm), then space out the calipers by 2 to 3 mm.

Don't forget that unlike its bigger 278mm brother, these fit under 14"/15" wheels :)

Thanks.

Yeah trafford centre is fine.

Will ask project and see if he can help as I was planning the ST150 setup so need to weigh up if this is worth it, will get back to you with a decision when I know whats involved and if I am going ahead with it.

Thanks

Hi,

No problem matey.

But I can assure you that these are a great improvement over standard Mk3 brakes.

In all honesty, a ST150 setup is much better than this Mondeo setup, but apparently a ST150 setup is going to cost much more. So depending on your budget, and whether you want something better than the standard Mk3 brakes whilst saving for some crazy monstrous 4-pot brakes.
