1.1 advice

Postby hudz_si on Thu Sep 29, 2005 12:57 am

i have a 1.1 at the mo, im kind of taking my time to mod it because i dont really want to be spending too much money on something and then realise i dont really like it lol. at the moment i hav a 3" scorpion back box and midsection and also some Si Front and Rear bumpers, Arches and top spoiler to fit in the next few weeks or so. (i should be getting some 15" alloys asap) can any of you recomend some subtle mods i can to to make the car look better or sound nicer? i know its a 1.1 and theres not much you can do to make a improvement to performace but i have to stick with this at the moment because of some damn chive in a nova wrote my last car off
Cheers

aah tht looks ace! same colour as mine too :) so helps to see what mine will look like. i was thinking about buying some of them clear rear clusters too, i didnt want lexus ones, they seem a bit same old same old. is it a 1.1? have you done anything to try and improve performance?

ooo... and there's no point doing performance stuff to a 1.1 .... waste of money unless its an engine change :D ... but lowering 40mm improves grip and handeling i suppose...

lol yeah i'm just getting rid of the black stripes down the side...its a nightmare! :o most of its off. i drilled my air box because people were saying that it would be alot cheaper and wouldnt gain anything else from a K&N, simply because its a 1.1. it sounds v.v.nice now :D

Hey,

My Fiesta started off like this, completely standard. Moving on to all the little things like side repeaters, rear lights and things small like that.

Image

Image

Image

Image

I then started exploring things a little bit further and invested in some suspension, wheels, and then new bumpers. So it turned out like this.

Image

Image

Finally the most recent thing I have changed is the bonnet, due to a nice taxi driver driving into the front of the car in the early hours of the morning and driving off.

Enjoy ...

Ive got the exact same scorpion back box by the looks of things - has yours got a flange connector at one end to bold onto the centre section?

Do you know how much it'll take to get a part fabbed up to connect it?

musicdrummer 42 - How'd you get the back so spanking clean!!!??? Ive tired degreaser, tar remover, bodywork shampoo and finally polish and it's no where near as clean!

looks like you have a nice clean straight car to start with. even changing little things like lights etc can make a difference, and keeping your car clean like max's will make a big difference to the apperence, even with just a few simple mods.but lowering with a nice set of alloy wheels will be a nice first mod. keep us updated with picces :)
