the pirrelli (ditch finder) is f**cked took it off the steel wheel to fit on alloy and its got 3 inch of rubber missing where it seals to the rim just the wire there

so got the rear alloys on need to sort tyres for front alloys

im mental painting my wheels in the snow lol

well actually painting them in my shed but the cars jacked up in the snow

might invest in some mud flaps my arches are getting battered where the snow ice s**t off the road hits them, (just the bottom of them where a mud flap would cover)

mud flaps would be a good option, i remember my mk4 last/earlier this year was being battered by the sow/grit micure between the arch cowls and panels, it sticks there and no doutb causes rust and corrosion

rear mud flaps look ok on a bodykit

front ones look a bit gash to be honest
The spray job looks ok so far. would of been cool painting the car yellow to match the kit :D

the real problem is you prob didnt key up the paint underneath.
then the paint you apply using the can isnt being dried using heat lamps. Or its simply too cold for the paint to go hard enough.

a bodyshop use a spray gun then bake it on using a oven.

ive painted stuff before and been ok i did a mexico front spoiler on my escort no problems

i think ive not keyed primer well enough

but sick of it now i dont like body work and i want it to look good might just book it in in the new year to be done by the pro"s

yea your main issue was doing it outside in the cold, i only paint outside int he summer after the suns been heating the panel for a little bit, works for you at that point, untill a bit of wind comes though, then you just get overspray

ha! looks like its been on the crack

£500 is good for a complete car, for a complete respray or for just the skirts and bumpers?

if the second its not really good at all no, i could probs get the kit done for less than £150 by a reputable shop

i paid a top paint shop £100 to paint 1 side of my bonnet last year, that was with discount because hes my dads mate, mainly does mercs bmw and audi.

they bodged the job because the paint only lasted 2 weeks, ended up bubbling and splitting.showed him it and he told me it must be something ive done to it :-?

sold it a week later

wasnt a happy bunny

im gonna get door bottoms done too as ones slightly starting to rust

it wont be till april when weathers good and ive saved up

i wasnt expecting to have to do this. but rather it looks good instead of forever chipping and flaking off
