Well Ford never actually called it a 3.5, its just a figure made up by enthusiasts, same for 6.5 or q.t, fqcelift might be more appropriate to some.models like the mk1.5 focus, but yea give the year and sate its the later mk3

Look good mate :) Im guessing he would have used a hole cutter Jony lol. Engine should be a nice little upgrade from the 1.1 :) Got the ecu too? And is your 1.1 injection or carb? Just wondering because you will need the looms if its carb :) Keep us updated though :aviator:

well according to this link he ran a 1.3 with a ecu from a 1.1

fiesta-1-3-tuning-vt177671/

help anyone i know its not all your cup of tea but hey its a fiesta and im on a fiesta forum asking for your knowledge

one day it will go cvh or zetech but just for now your knowledge of ecu and 1.1 1.3 hcs engines please

also im running all my 1.1 stuff its basically the 1.3 engine block head (sump lol) using my original cfi unit temp sensor exhaust manifold etc etc, fitting new 25psi oil switch with T piece and elec oil pressure sender unit. ive looked in my haynes manual the 1.1 and 1.3 have same stroke of 75.48mm the compression ratio is only different between carb/cfi models so im geussing its only bore size the difference from 1.1 being 68.68 to 1.3 being 73.96 even valve clearance is the same not sure on valve sizes.

engine was £100 and no hole saw was used it was the old fashioned mark it out drill several holes , meet them up, then used a rotary bit in a drill to smooth it off to the circle previously marked

trial fit just waiting for vacuum gauge to arrive then fit them both in and wire them up

you need to get the ecu, it will run on the 1.1 ecu, but it wont be right, it will under fuel, and maybe even rev funny

when i used my 1.6 ecu on the 1.8 it wrefused to rev past 4k and suffered in underfueling too :(

YES get a mk3 capri mate! :D

dont really see the buzz of a pinto tbh, old and unreliable at times, mind you never actually owned one just going from my dads experiance, never witnessed a 2.0 pinto either

glad your going to keep the fiesta though, would have been a shame to get rid of her :)

found this today put a deposit on it, its 1.8 glx, i will fit a fast pinto in it eventually, im also gonna lower it as low as i can, make it as loud as i can, paint it satin black, strip the interior and fit 2 x bucket seats and harnesses.
keeping the fiesta as it is, will paint body kit and leave it at that for lindsey to use.
this is my new toy.

Soo you have two projects then? I bet your full attention won't go on the Fiesta now. Shame...

Sierra looks nice though. What do you plan on doing with it once you've tarted it up? Drift on the round abouts? :P

Agree with Jony. Heavy sh*ts! What litre are they? 1.8? Not a 2.0 model is it?

I reckon your looking at around 1128 kg.

its 1.8 but i will be putting a fast 2.0 pinto in a tuned up pinto, yeah they are heavy but it will still go fast a xr4i will pull nearly 150mph my cortina was heavy but did 120 mph and was doing low 16 second 1/4 mile runs

lol i dunno about this pinto tuning, theyre 110bhp standard on the 2.0

the i4 they have the twin cam is a tidy engine, mind i dont think tyheyre very tunable if theyre anything like the 16v version

the xr4i have a good 2.8 which puts out 150bhp standard, much better engine to start with imo
