1.1 Exhaust

Postby hudz_si on Sat Feb 25, 2006 4:16 am

Just wondering if there will be any major faults if i fitted a exhaust that was originally on a RSturbo to a 1.1 Mk3.5? Will there be any problems with the back pressure or a case of loosing power instead of gaining?
any advice/help will be apreciated!
(sorry if none of this makes no sense lol) (the exhaust is a Scorpion 3" cat-bac that was originally fitted to a RSturbo, and is listed on websites for RSturbo, XR2i and Si 16v)
Thanks!

will be routed the same but you'll have to get a reducer pipe to get it to fit 8)

Yeah I do need a reducer pipe, from 51mm to 45mm, but it's routed exactly same. I've had the exhaust together and under the car, but still need that damn reducer :( Oh well, I'll hopefully be getting a garage to make me one up soon. Thanks for the help!

I think PowerFlow do a reducer pipe. And I'm pretty damn sure I've seen them in Demon Tweeks as well

Would it be possible to combine a set of reducers to get your to the required size?

Is it a full system you've bought or just the backbox?

Hmmm...didnt think of that, but I'm taking it to a exhaust specialist to have it looked at and to see if they can make me a reducer.

Also no it's not just a backbox, I got the mid-section too :)

hopefully ill have it on soon. been sat in my house for too long now lol.

Mines a pain in the arse, Never holds for long and goes loose.

Anyone got a pic of a 'bought' reducer? Dad made mine!
