The best upgrade is to get a length of rope, attach one end to your fez, the other to your mates STi impreza, then get them to tow you
I have a 1.1 which is the same engine, and I am planning on getting a K&N bolt on type filter, which ive heard should give about 3-4hp extra. If you dont want a bolt on, I think that there is a replacement filter to go into the air box. I was thinking of doing this and rigging up a decent cold air feed from the very front near the bumper up to the box.
Kent also do a cam kit for the HCS but i wouldnt bet on it being too driveable round town with high lift cams in it!!

Yeah, im wanting the K&N bolt on, but you have to find out which one you need or something. I had a look at my carb for some numbers, and all I can find is Weber 2996 (I think)

How would you do that?

he hasnt spent any money on the engine, because its not worth it, you dont get that much more power from them, they are useless for tunning
oh an the 1.1 and 1.3 are't the same engine, im sure i could beat you off the lights with my 1.3

1.1 HCS vs 1.3HCS would be quite interesting of the lights actually.. According to specs there aint much in it, but the 1.3 has more torque so i reckon itd beat the 1.1
When i said same engine, I meant apart from the head, which is different. As far as I'm aware the head is the only major difference. Do you know of any others? (I may consider a head change at some time so if you do it would be prety useful!!)
Although I dont know if its worth the hassle for the limited extra power. Infact its not really. Ill just wait and get a 2ltr once i finish being a student dosser

if you don't already, try using super unleaded or optimax. Makes a noticeable difference if your car has only been run on tesco unleaded before...
also just change perishables like the oil, plugs, leads, filters etc.
you won't get much more power by doing all the above, but it will be nicer to drive
