Defo go for a bigger engine. I've got a Fiesta Mk3 with 1.3l HCS engine. It's a good engine but not quite quick or much quicker than the 1.0l or 1.1 engines. There little tuning options for the engine either. I fitted a full Supersprint cat-back exhaustsystem and K&N filter. I think the dyno reaches 65-70 BHP now (5-10 BHP increase).
Late 1.3 16V engines aren't quick too, so I suggest you go for a 1.6 at least, if you want a quicker car.

I'm already saving for a Subaru Impreza GT Turbo :D .... sorry folks

im gettin my 1.3 scort engine fitted on monday. i wasn't after it for any performance but it fits straight in and is gonna be a bit quicker but im not bothered. it is exactly the same engine as the 1.0 and 1.1 models but is bored different or has bigger piston or something but it fits straight in mate.

if your not after performance then go fir it but if you want perfomance go for a 1.6 and get ready to change some looms ;)
