i was just about to ask this lol

ive got a kent cam enroute, hopefully a 4 branch manifold, getting head skimmed, ported and polished, and going to get an XR2i inlet manifold and throttle body to see if it helps things, and get it all set up.

currently got a cat back system and thats about it performance wise.

ps ive found using the std airbox with a replacment panel filter is much better than a cone/induction kit. although the cone i have may have been too small.

ill let you know ho its turn out. hopefully be all sorted by 2nd week in june.

might get a rolling road session done just to see what difference the above mods make.

easiest way is to swap to a 2i lump. but the handy thing is, most parts appear to be interchangeable, cam, exhaust, inlet etc. so if you do decide to change you can reuse the bits :D

I totally agree...

have either of you two with your 1.4's have powersteering? how's the pump driven? is it off the cambelt or an auxillary belt?

a pic would be great :D

i'v been offerd 2 1.6 cvh's from an orion 1 of them the top end is dead the other 1 the bottom end is dead. wasnt going to pay anything for them so i might snap em up en build 1 engine. all the wiring and sensers look the same in the 1.6 as the 1.4 so do you think it would work without changing the managment or anything? how about the gearbox.ben
