Sorry if this parts been covered but, I have a 1.6 SI engine loom, 2.0 MAF, Deep ECU (not bought yet) but no interior loom. I don't want to hard wire my Diesil loom so can I use a 16V xr2i or rs1800 loom as I'm having trouble sourcing an SI interior loom.

Somebody has a full interior loom in the for sale section, I think it's Max. So long as the interior loom has the same plug as your engine loom there will be no difficulties.
You could use an 1100 interior loom. If you get one with an electric pack the only other thing you'll have to wire in is the fog lights and tacho.

I'd use the Fiesta/Escort Zetec Flywheel. I believe you can use the CVH one but have to drill out the bolt holes or something.

You will find that doesn't work at all if you mean using a 1.6 zetec block and 2.0 head!!!

all coding's turned off and nothing we post here adds to our count for some reason. Olly, what ECU do you need for this? hahaha *runs away*
As to the engine, 1.6 has tiny valves and obviously the compression ratio would be substantially different.
Use the head and block off the same engine, in your case use a 2 litre head, job done.

stick the full 2litre emgine in job done! as for the fly wheel question above you must drill out the botls to 10mm rather than 8mm but i think the cps works diff! not sure tho! just fit the si gearbox!
is that right olly? i know you have the 1800!

As far as I can make out, as the grammar is terrible, he already has a 1600 Si. Therefore it's a normal 2.0l conversion that's required which will use all the zetec stuff from the original car and that means we are cluttering up this guide thread with needless twaddle as it's totally unrelated.

That's right, but seems to believe in using the 2.0 head on the 1.6 block? =/

just wondered how you got your engine to run on on a mondeo ecu when using the wrong fly wheel ,im sure the fiesta cvh fly wheel has the wrong timing pins on the back of it !

you can not fit a 2.0l zetec head on a 1.6 zetec bottom cos the combustion chambers are far too big, the valves would also foul on the block as the cylinder bores are to small

Re: 1.6 8v CVH - 2.0 16v Zetec Engine Conversion (new 06/04/07)
It use to be an 1.4 cvh mk5 fiesta.
ive got the IB5 gearbox, where the mountings sit on top, is this gearbox strong enough, or should i try get an stronger box? Will the cvh mounting that bolts to block and to mount on body work?
what wiring loom should be sourced? Ive got the 1.4 cvh wiring loom for engine bay and interior, i can get the escort mk5 1.8 zetec wiring, and mondeo 2L wiring.
please can u assist me in this, as nobody has done this in South Africa.

Re: 1.6 8v CVH - 2.0 16v Zetec Engine Conversion (new 06/04/07)
a mondeo 2l ecu must be a deep, dewy or desk and a 1.6si engine loom as for the gearbox you can use a cvh just drill the cvh flywheel bolts out to suit the ones on the engine i think you open them from 8 to 10 mm. im sure all this information is in this guide anyway mate just have a carefull read and look how your engine and gearbox mounts first, im sure it will be simalar to the mondeo zetec anyway buddy!

Bit of a weird one, i have a deep ECU/MAF and a 2.0 zetec in my Ka, how would i go about wiring up the Si's 16v loom to run the engine standalone?
