1.6s ---> 1.6si
Hey Chaps
is getting a injection conversion for my 1.6 worth it? im not to bothered about the power increase (if any) i would like it to drive a bit better, at the moment it feels like its really restricted and was wondering if injection would help. i know i could go the normal route of K&N and exhaust ect but id like this aswell
if it would what would it involve
i.e inlet manafold ect.
i wont be doing the conversion myself, but i would like to know if u lot recommend it being done
Cheers 4 ur help

if you really wanna change to injection - then get an xr2i engine! will drop straight in (part from needing the engine part of the loom and an xr2i exhaust along with a new fuel tank and pump!)
Just put a K&n on ur engine and a full (inc manifault and down pipe) xr2i exhaust on it - very quick i would say!
but it's up to you mate!

Steve,
For the hassle, or expense if someone else is going to do it, probably isn't worth it. As mentioned it is easier to swap the engine to an XR2i one than to try and make yours injection. Then you need fuel tank etc etc etc.
Better to make sure your engine is well serviced (decent oil etc) get an air filter, exhaust and make sure it is set up correctly. Get it on a rolling road where they can alter the fueling if necessary to go with the better breathing from the filter and exhaust.
