1.8 16v zetec Xr3i engine
just aqquired one of these from a mate for the cost of nothing cos the car was just going for scrap!
only problems are it's got a shot gearbox and shot engine mounts!!!
gonna put it in my 1.6 Si ( also zetec ) so what should i need off the escort other than the bottom end, head, inlet manifold and outlet manifold and the ecu????
and are all the xr3i zetec engines 130ps???

Search for what you need for a 2.0 conversion and you'll get a list of what you need.
Not all XR3i zetecs are 130ps, a lot are just 105ps 1800s like in the 2i 16v.

Engine number (usually stamped on coil pack end of head) should begin RQB if it's 130ps, and RDB if it's 105ps. Anything else is likely to be 115ps (but I could be wrong... again... as usual lol).

i think the 130ps of the XR3i it´s called the zeta engine...
and it was not only in the XR3i my father ha an ORION with that engine! and i loved it! i miss that sound

No. I took the time out to write a specific Si to 1800/2.0L guide on my site. It's up to you whether or not you take the time out to read it
I do have an RS1800 gearbox for sale if you'd like?
Anyway, my guide's probably wrong
