how could i get the most out of the 1.8 xr3i engine i'm fitting in my Si???
it's meant to be 130ps or therabouts to start with so how much could i get out of it and how???

seeing as your starting with the 130PS engine you cant really do anything apart from the usual filter/exhausts, decat mods.

Removing the EGR system will free up a BHP or two and help the engine rev slightly better.

To be honnest to get any sort of really decent increase you wanna be looking at throttle bodies or carbs - or even a full on turbo conversion.

either way you need a good few grand.

There is always Nos. Its not as danderous as some people make out and doesn't fook the engine. Do plan to get it when I get a bigger engine (my 1.1 wouldn't be able to handle it :lol: )

Would cost about £700

Maybe its just me who would do that! :aviator:

found a place that do a 65mm throttle body for bout £200 or so!!!
so i think thousands is a bit out there mate plus pulleys and the like are meant to help a bit too!!!
is this wrong???

to clear this up i am talking throttle body as in individual one!!!
supposedly 5-8 bhp which is better than a kick up the arse!!!
