Im currently running 10W40 magnatec, On fords chart for the FRST they recommend a mineral oil 10w30 anyone use this?? I used to run on mobil 1 but was told 2 thin n could often hear tapping from engine when using it.

U should run full synthetic
Castrol Rs 10w60
Mobil 1 15w50

What grade mobil were u using??
10w30 is a no no as it doesn`t offer u enough protection at the high temps..

10w40 if the engine is in top condition-full/part synthetic its up to u..
15w40 if its a high miler and a bit tired..

I use VALVOLINE SYNCPOWER, full synthetic a lot cheaper than Mobil or Castrol and just a good.

True Valvloline is V.Good & i can get it cheap at work..... but i still use "Castrol 10w40 for Advanced/Modern Engines" :wink:
