would a modyfied fiesta containing a fully reconditioned 1300cvh (which is also modyfied) beat a standard h reg 1400cvh escort?

if the scort was standard i'd say it would most likely lose to the festa. 100cc isnt that much , althought im not sure of the wieght difference between the cars

festa wud cane the 'scort, a 1.3festa v 1.4escort wud be tight, if the 1.3 is reconed then ur talking about a 1350cc v 1400cc and the fact the festa has been modded and is lighter it would have it, wud have a better top end too.

my feista 1300cvh (yes cvh not hcs) has got performance camshaft, exhaust, airfilter, twin choke xr2 webber, polished ground ports, polished conrods etc..
the escort however has done 56000 miles on the clock, totaly standard with slight tappet noise on tickover.
thats the difference between each vehicle. do you think it would be wise for me to race against the escort or not?

Now owner of a Mk2 Golf, but a FRST is next mark my words (or a VR6 conv. for the golf :) )
