16v si superchip

16v si superchip

Hi guys, had an offer of a superchip for my engine. but apperently they are the same across the zetec engined fiesta's. anyone know if this is true?

the maps will be different for the different for the 1.6/1.8/2.0 wouldnt they? sure i read someone had put a 1.8 chip in their Si and it didnt run right.

get a chip JD or else you'll be left behind. :P

Dave_Si said he put a RS1800 chip in his car and it wouldn't start. They are different ECU's so wouldn't work.

I think what he meant is the Si uses the Zetec engine, so if you had a 1.6 ghia (with the zetec), and an 1.6 Si, which is also the zetec the chip should work, I dont see why not. But you wouldn't necessarily be able to use a 2.0 zetec chip in the 1.6 of course.

Yeh, has to have the same ECU and code..

RS1800 one doesn't work at all.. doesn't start.

You'll need one for the si :)
