anyone know if the 1800 zetec back box will fit the 1600 si version.
i'm asking as no one seems to list just the back box for the si. i ask because i don't fancy spending £270 at the moment i'd rather get away with £130.

was looking through an exhaust book today in the workshop at work. acording to the replacement part numbers and diagrams the 1800's built in the first 5 months had a bolt on back box but after that they all had a slide in connection for the box. and the part numbers for that and the 1600 si are the same, so there might be hope yet. now i just need to phone magnex and get some technical details.
