For rough guestimates a bottom end can take a 50% increase from standard. But thats not to say your bottom end will take that, due to various factors.

2009 FRS2 : 377bhp ATW / 395lb/ft :)
1990 FRST : Sold.

i have run stage 2 on a fresh rebuilt standard bottom end, estamate it was running 190bhp-205bhp and it was fine! from what i have been told 200bhp is about the safe limet for standard cvh bottem end.

My brothers FRST was running a completely stock bottom end and it was dyno's on an "Ego Buster" at 210bhp. It ran like this for well over 18 months and only came apart as he restored the shell and thought he may as well put some steel rods etc in.

iirc the spec was
T3
Beige injectors
195chip
Kent CVH35 and vernier
Cossie fuel pump
Pace intercooler
21psi peak holding 18-19psi

if performance ford can run 260bhp on a standard bottom end then you have no worries...its more a problem to get the fueling right and set up regular.... :)
