195/45/16 rubbing

does anyone know how I can stop my 195/45/16 on my mk3 from rubbing on full lock I was thinking spacers but im not sure wot size spacers i would need. Thanks for any help

Is just on full lock that they scrub. Do they rub on the rear arches atall

You will also need rear spacers too, otherwise the rear suspension cups will sit on the tyre, and eat away at it...not nice! :(

The fronts should be alright without a spacer...? There is a guide on the main turbo site, same as for fitting 17s where you cable tie something up, and then it does not catch.

Hope you can sort it.

Either get a stiffer rear end setup or spacers on the rear to bring them away from the suspension, but I can imagine quite a few mk3's rub on the rears when going over bumps, as they were only ever designed for 13" wheels....

mine rubs on the back with 195/45/16's pretty much all the time i go over dodgy roads (everywhere) where do i have to cut the arch away anyone got any pics or pointers for me- i have a 3.5 1.1 and its lowered 40mm on just springs.
oh and its got rsd arches on

i have 195/45/16's and there not that bad at all. Getting next to know rubbing one or twos up. and a little bit when fours up. Ive had my archs cut back alot though

195/40/16 may be a way round the prob m8,but also it has alot to do with the design of the sidewall of the tyre as well.For example the pirelli drago has a pretty square sidewall compared to say the bridgestone re720 that i have on my frst which is angled in quite alot.Best to try and get a look at tyres before you buy them and see how the sidewall looks.
