its running spot on now

i cant claim the fame on that either, my old mans been potching with it, unseized a valve or something on the carb, was rock solid he said, also swapped out the condenser and points for the electronic gizmo, and it starts on the button and idles sweet, hes now been bidding on some replacement parts for it

such as a new parcel shelf as its one is fooked

hes actually bidding on twin dellorto carbs, that would give a nice hike in power, well see if he wins

water pump is still leaking even after inspection, its missing its gasket, even sealer couldn't stop it, so hes bidding on a new one

front bumper has been painted

just need to look into the rattles from the engine

i do remember a bolt fell into the bellhousing when fitting the engine, could be that, but was hard to remove once engine was mated to the gearbox

yay we have sorted it right out now!

took the starter motor off, and found the bolt that had fallen in the bellhousing, then noticed the torque converter bolts were quite loose, they must have loosened up after getting it running a while ago

so with them tightened up we got it back together, stared it up and was glad to hear this:

wont be long till its put through the mot!

so relieved with it :D

Ye0, I hate having to change jobs mid-stream, you always lose your place or forget to double-check things. I always end up stressing late at night thinking "did I do this, did I do that" - have to write it down then check it the following day. s**t weather today (and feel crap tbh) otherwise I'd be finishing gear linkage on the wifes golf.

Stick the carbs on the fiesta, easy to do, I reckon you could do it in a couple of hours and have something really fun to drive

To start with use an esc module off a 1.1/1.3 fiesta, all you need to connect is ignition live, earth, coil pack and crank sensor

When funds permit use a 'megajolt' ignition only ecu, second hand can be had for under £150 and there's ready to go map files to use it, and then have it tweaked on the dyno

jony, its about time you got a compressor and some air tools fella, oh, and some ear defenders

a grinder can be a bit to harsh to surface rust like that, it takes too much off and thins the metal out, get a air belt sander, air grinder/cutter, and a angled air sander, once ytou use them, your wonder why you never got them before

50l one isnt that bit mate, would take up about as much room as a engine and gearbox, so can be tucked under a bench or something
