Postby beanhead92 on Mon Jul 30, 2012 7:35 pm

Hi guys im new to this forum, so i thought i would post up what i have got and just about managed to insure it at £481.82 a MONTH !! :o

Its a completely standard Xr2i other than the Rs2000 escort wheels and the 90 spec recaro interior.

it has a slight bit of surface rust around the petrol cap and im in need of a new boot lid due to rust around the wiper arm ... thats it 70k all genuine miles all service history everything is standard even the 1.6 cvh

Looks good! Good to see there's more standard beauties out there!

But just under £500 a MONTH for insurance? :o

its got a bubble of surface rust underneath no bigger than a 2 pound coin completely solid so going to underseal all of it just to make sure, i wanted to lower it and a straight through peco but dads a classic fiesta kinda guy and aint having none of it as im on his insurance and doesnt want me to play about with it :(.

ill get some pics under the bonnet tomorrow when its light, if any one is going down to southend passion ford this wednesday the 1st youll see it down there for a proper look over if you wish :)

They guy who owned it before me was a 'conquering device' basically and put a manual fan switch in because his water pump was leaking slowly for the sake of like 36 quid for a new timing belt and water pump he cut the dash :x :x :x tiny hole in the dash but ive got a alarm fitted but when i get a moment spare ill be putting in the led in that hole....

and the wing mirrors no one was suppose to notice they just look a tad better but am after a set in white if anyone has a set ?

That looks nice and reminds me of my old '2i, mine was White as well.
