Interesting...

Wouldn't have thought the I4 would've been a very good engine for competition use and it's pretty damn heavy. What made you chose a Fiesta for rallying? I can think of better things to chose and that engine bay looks a bit messy.

Good luck with it anyways.

Erm...i think its a perfectly decent choice of engine, its a little heavy but its strong and chain driven, and 155bhp standard.

I dont think he built the car for show use so a tidy engine bay was probably low down his list of priorities.

Is that a fibreglass bootlid? If so can i ask where you bought it from?
oh hoh

Its a rally car not a show car but the engine bay is pretty tidy now anyways as them pics were taken in the summer halfway through build. But its built to be driven hard along forest tracks so aint gonna stay clean lol

We break a lot of rs2000`s hence the engine as we can get any amount of mods and parts we require. We also run a mk2 escort with the same engine and can get plenty power out them.As for choice got a mk2 and impreza rally car at the moment aswell but bought and sold a mk3 fiesta rally car about 2 years ago running a CVH on 40s and it was an excellent little car but slow so decided to build an I4 Fiesta rally car as used others cars such as 106s,205s,306s in between and there boring

Bootlid is not fibreglass but the last one we had did have fibreglass bootlid aswell as lots of other goodies i cant find at the moment ie quick rack, rosejointed wishbones, fibreglass bonnets etc which iam trying to find were they came from

Lots of work involved in fitting engine just some below

cut and weld drivers inner wing up
custom mounts
custom wiring
custom rad pipes
front mount the rad as well as cut valance
mix and match sensors here and there, flywheel etc
custom alternator bracket + lots of other stuff

Currently the car pulls around in straight lines alot apparantly torque steer and is a handful to control but have been told rosejointed wishbones will cure this. Its a hell of a lot faster than an escort rs2000 as well as beating a Fiesta rs turbo no problem

P.S The dog is roxy by the way and she aint to be messed with either are her brothers and sisters lol our guard dogs lol
