2.0 ECU question

Right, i done the 2.0 conversion afew months ago (In my Escort) but am still running 1.6 sensors and ECU, Its gettin Unichiped soonish but was wondering WHY and IF i can fit the 2.0 ECU.

Been told i CANT but dnt understand why not, plus someone mentiond that the ecu D-E-E-P would work.

Any insight please?

DEEP ECU works, one on ebay at the moment, just need to change to 2 litre maf sensor, throttle body etc

I have 2.0 MAF and TB fitted already. Is there much difference in the 1.6 and 2.0 ecu's?

and will it defo fit in my 98 Escort?

yeah, the 2 litre will obviously make it quicker, your prob under fuelling on the 1.6 ecu.

If it fits, depends on the wiring loom, if its zetec wiring loom then prob yes. But if it don't fit you'll be able to sell it easy enuff
