2.0 ECU, Which One?

Postby Percy! on Fri Jul 09, 2004 1:27 pm

I have a 2.0si still running the 1.6 si ECU.

What models/years can I get a 2.0 ECU from?

Which would be the best?

What codes on them do I look for?

How easy is it to swap them? (I know nothing about them)

Thanks

Im running DEEP on mine. To change the ECU on a fiesta you need to look in the bay and remove the metal cover on teh top right of the bay which is held in by rivets. Then you need to take the rubber shielding off held on by two 10mm. Then you need undo the bolt holding the ECU connector in. Then go into the passenger footwell and undo the bracket holding the ECU place and slowly pull it out. Then put your new one in

Slightly off topic, but do you know what the differences are between each ECU?

I want to look out for one now for in the future

There is also a DESK 2.0 ECU, seen some of them on ebay.

gibbsy - If you have a 1.8, you want a mondeo ECU, BLOB works fine as long as you use a 1.8 MAF sensor.
