2.0 litre conversion part 2
Cheers for everyone who replied on the previous post. A big up ya selfs!
I have still been looking into the conversion and listed below a few parts that might cause a problem in the conversion.
Can anyone help on these?
Deep Breath! Here goes:
Clutch - Uprate or use standard 1.8 2i one?
Injectors
Radiator
Fan
Oil Pump
Oil Cooler
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Cheers guys! I owe ya one (well two now!!)

only fiesta bit you would ideally need to keep from ure engine is the oil pump as the filer part will be angled ! it will fit and work fineon a 2ltr.

Clutch - Uprate or use standard 1.8 2i one? use standard clutch, and use the fiesta flywheel
Injectors use the ones from the 2.0
Radiator standard rad will be fine
Fan standard is fine, but u might wanna get 2 slim line ones just to help cooling
Oil Pump use teh fiesta oil pump
Oil Cooler er...
Oil Filter CVH as zetec one wont fit...
Fuel Filter standard is fine, just change it to be safe [/b]

Phil a zetec oil filter will fit fine
as long as you keep your fiesta oil pump
Phil u used the mondeo one so u need a shorter filter so it dont foul chassis leg
the oil filter goes onto the oil pump on a fiesta one it is angled inwards on a mondeo it is straight so if u fit a long oil filter to it it will hit chassis thats why the fiesta one is angled

If the Zetec filter fouls the chassis when trying to fit it then presumably the oil pump is not a Fiesta one...??
Don't forget that SimonT already has the 1800cc 105ps Zetec engine

the oil pumps run at the same pressure
si, rs 1800 105 1800 and 2ltr i checked this with ford
the part number for the fiesta pump is the same for si rs xr etc.
Phil the oil pump is essentially a part of the engine not a removable just like that part have a look under if the oil filter goes straight mondeo if slanted fiesta. But im sure mark wouldnt have bothered changin that as u need all new gaskets.
Simon all thats needed is to swap your pump and sump with the 2ltr mondeo one the rest is pretty much the same !
If you want a new one ford sell them for £86 + VAT i think

ive got this from actually taking apart the bottom end and tryingto get a fooking zetec to fit in
as miens a turbo i have a sandwhich plate oil cooler i had to fit that onto where the oil pump fits and then a oil filter phil talks about fitting just the filter lol try getting the cooler in there too !
can be done though with a fiesta pump cvh oil cooler and cvh oil filter
