Postby HCS PIMP on Wed Sep 19, 2007 9:21 pm

I have recently cooked my fiesta si the engine to my knowledge is dead so i need to decide do i get a nice series 2 zetec engine (2.0) out of a mondeo 98 and then spend some ash on spension kit and new frojnt brakes and then do the paint in black

or

Do I get a Saxo VTR and spend twices as much doing that up and have a sexy saxo

bare in mind insurance group 9 2.0 si and group 7 VTR and the fact im 6ft 8 and i want a trouble free time as after chrimbo im on school based training and need a fully functioning car

any help expressed would be good you may have seen my car the bear Si

If you get the Saxo, you will always wish you went for another Fiesta.

So best bet is go for the Fiesta and do what you said to it :)

You're asking a fiesta forum if you should buy a fiesta or a paxo box of stuffing! You know the answer!
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Fiesta no contest. The only Saxo worth a squirt is the VTS which despite having a serious image problem is a great little car. VTR is just a luke warm hatch and the build quality and general everything leaves so much to be desired. Even new they were crap so after having some years and miles on them things are only likely to have got worse.

no contest dude.

the 2L is going to be an easy swap and then its even easier to get parts and to modify.

i've done loads to saxo's including a turbo conversion and i would always go for a fiesta over a saxo,

Si as i'm 6ft 5 and Saxo pedals are way too close imo.

I have size 13 / 14 feet and it's a mission to hit brake peedal and miss the others.

Brand new set of cossie calipers and discs of correct car and Koni 40mm drop will have you leaving Vtr's and poss Vts' :)

2.0 si hands down everyones got saxo's, don't even know why you needed to ask the question, if you like sitting in mcdonalds car parks with a bunch of chives with stereos going boom boom boom and seeing who can go through a set of tyre's the quickest, then by all means get a saxo. if not stay with the fez

cheers people had a look at work today and the vsx kit will be 299 and then ill be getting some off at trade lol 40 mm drop sorted

then get a sebring exhaust manifold 311.01
and 200 on brakes and 500 for a decent engine

if anyone has a 2.0 zetec 2 series lying round that would be good or anyone have any help for me to do WIth ecu and anyother bits i may need to consider I HAVE SEEN A COSSY ECU FOR 995 TODAY and that got a fully programable system with launch control, anti lag ,water injection and 8 fuel injection system :P bit ott for what i need

im probs gonna get some pipper cam new cat fsh later and just a sport clutch and maifold for the start and possibly new radiator but gonna be a sound install i think oil cooling would be wise and then possibly NOS ??????
what people think worth the effort

im gonna try kepp engine brake and supsension under 1k then i can get the other bits like new clutch and any other unseen bits and i need a heater matrix if anyone has one going :P :D :) id like to have it and if possible a hand fitting it

As above, only saxo worth even thinking about is the VTS. Fiestas look so much nicer when modded properly too :)
