2.0 transplant
Hi I'm new to the forum so if this has already been covered then pls tell me. Right, I have just bought a fiesta si 1.6 but my previous car was an st24 so the 1.6 lump is quite slow compared to what im used. I have read that the 2.0 zetec is a straight swap with no modifications is this true if so its gonna be done. I have all the tools for the job but didnt want all the hassle of modifyin things to fit. can some1 pls confirm what i av read.
thanks
thanks

Re: 2.0 transplant
honestly just drawing near to finishing mine and im training as a mechanic took be about 24 hours over 4 days
you need the oil pick up pipe, sump, manifolds, oil dip stick and pipe, water pump as 2.0 one fouls the engine mount, engine mounts, alt, starter, loom, flywheel, clutch, loom
off the 2.0 ull need injectors, throttle, maf, ecu (off a mk1 mondeo deep , desk or dewy) and the engine of course
its a pain to do but once it runs ull be happy i kept the 2.0 oil pump with KA filter works for me and looks cool lol
mines starting on guru ecu but i wont dare move it without the ecu as lean burn would kill the engine
if u need any assitance pm me
