covered so many times on so many differnet sites, but basically you'll need a few bits off your 1.8 but other than that straight swap

you will need to change the engine loom for 1 with internal edis as the xr2i 16v runs external edis and the mondeo ecu uses internal but other than that its just a case of swapping sump , oil pickup , water pump , buying a cvh oil filter as the mondeo one fouls the chassis lag on the fiesta ,and swapping the alternator and strarter off the fiesta onto the mondeo lump

I'm guessing it's a box mounted on a plate at the back of the engine? where as internal is sort of combined in the loom somewhere. No idea but that's my guess.

Edis is the ignition system, controls the spark iirc.
If it on the plate bolted to the bulk head its external, if not its internal to the ECU.

you will need a 1.6si fiesta engine loom 2.0 ecu and maf (deep/dewy/desk ecus work)

visit http://www.fiesta-si.com ,there is about 10 pages in the faq section on 2.0l conversions ,which will tell you everything you need and afaik there is a guide on how to do it

the 2ltr throttle body can be used but put the 1.6 TB springs in to it.
