rebuild and turbo it for the money

depends how much power u want as ure not gonna get much out of a 2.0 over the value of 150bhp with jus off the shelf parts.

get a few grand and do a turbo conversion :D

2 grand :o :o :o

to turbo it you will need new management engine rebuild etc etc it will cost a few grand

throttlebodies will not give you as much power but you will still need to up the management and they are expensive to buy in the first place ! they is good tho.

looking at the engine in ure sig id say thats a series one or two zetec so if its 2ltr ud be pushing 136 ps which is just under 136 bhp

u can get cams, a chip air filter exhaust but out of that ud be lucky to push over 150bhp.

u could do a low pressure forced induction thing

wereby u keep ure current setup strap a turbo on and run a few psi of boost.

similar things apply when using a super charger its still forced induction so the pressures are similar and thus any decent ammount of boost will need an engine rebuild.

+ a supercharger is an engine parrasite using power to spin it a turbo runs of waste gases so u gain more theoretically.!

sorry to hijack the post but when i get my zetec-s i was wondering what to do with the 1.6 engine e.g turbo it, nos it or just dump it and drop a 2 litre into it? plus i was wondering how much stick the running gear will take? i know the clutch will need uprating but what about the gearbox and driveshafts?
any help i much appreciated, cheers lads
